Kuala Lumpur Beach is a unique tourist attraction. It is located in the middle of the waters of the Malacca Sea, “Jeram”, 1.74 nautical miles off the coast of the fishing village. Most of the time it sinks to the bottom of the ocean which is why it occasionally gets lost from the world map.
A mysterious shelf or "island" on the Malacca Strait off the coast of Kuala Selangor. But it is no ordinary island: its reflective qualities make it a very popular spot for curious visitors. For these reflective qualities, the "Sky Mirror", popular and well-known, has been compared to the world's largest salt flat, Bolivia's Salar de Uuni. The Sky Mirror is also sometimes referred to as Sasaran Beach, as it is located near the Chinese fishing village of Kampung Sasaran.
This reflective phenomenon only doubles during the month - during the new moon and the full moon - when the water level is sufficient for the island to express itself. At other times, the place is submerged.
