Shameem Ahsan is the New High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Malaysia

Mr. Shameem Ahsan, Bangladesh's Ambassador to Malaysia, began his work at the country's local time on Friday, October 20th.
The newly appointed High Commissioner, Shameem Ahsan, succeeded Gholam Sarwar at the Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia. Before joining this mission, he served as Bangladesh's Ambassador to Italy.
Shameem Ahsan is a Bangladesh Civil Service (Foreign Affairs) 11th Batch member. He entered the diplomatic career in April 1993 when he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since then, he has served both in Bangladesh and abroad.
In his diplomatic capacity, Shameem Ahsan has been appointed as Bangladesh's High Commissioner to Nigeria and as the Consul General of Bangladesh in New York. He has also held various responsibilities at the Bangladesh missions in Kuwait, Doha, Nairobi, Rome, and Washington D.C.
Shameem Ahsan was born on September 1, 1966, in Pirojpur, Barishal. He obtained his B.S.S. and M.S.S. degrees in Political Science from Dhaka University. Additionally, he has completed several professional training courses in Bangladesh and abroad.
