Journalist Kaysar Hamid Hannan has been honored with the BMSSS Golden Award

Dhaka witnessed a grand celebration of the "BMSS Golden Award 2024 & 4th Anniversary 2025", organized by the Bangladesh Provincial Journalists Society (BMSS) at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Ramna.
The event took place on Friday, February 28, at 3:00 PM in the IEB seminar hall. The ceremony was presided over by Syed Margub Morshed, the grandson of Sher-e-Bangla, former Information Secretary, and Chairman of BTRC. The distinguished guests at the event included Dr. M.A. Sattar, Professor at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, and Dr. Md. Husain Alam, Founder and Chairman of British Graduation College, ROKL Poland.
During the event, Kaysar Hamid Hannan, Staff Correspondent of NTV and Barta24.com, and Vice President of the Malaysia Bangladesh Community, was honored with the BMSS Golden Award 2024 for his outstanding contributions to journalism in the expatriate community. The award recognized his role as a journalist, a successful organizer, and a well-known figure within the Bangladeshi community abroad.
Hundreds of journalists from across Bangladesh attended the ceremony, where awards were presented to selected journalists for their significant contributions in humanitarian activities, social services, standing by journalists in times of crisis, human rights advocacy, education, organizational excellence, and journalism.
Expressing his gratitude for this prestigious recognition, Kaysar Hamid Hannan stated, "This award serves as an inspiration for me to move forward and continue my work with even greater dedication." Since he was unable to attend the event in person due to his stay in Malaysia, a well-wisher accepted the award on his behalf.
A Journey of Dedication and Excellence Kaysar Hamid Hannan began his career in journalism as a freelance writer during his school years. He won first place in a topic-based writing competition organized by Chandpur Kantho, a leading newspaper in Chandpur, and was recognized as the Best Young Writer of the District. Alongside his passion for writing, he actively participated in organizational activities and became a Scout Leader.
He completed his Higher Secondary education at Hajiganj Model College, Chandpur, and in 2009, pursued higher studies at Windfield International College, Malaysia, where he later earned a BBA degree.
In addition to his academic journey, he worked as a Bangladeshi Consultant at the Foreign Worker Welfare Management Center in Malaysia for two years, assisting migrant workers. Over the years, he has worked as a Staff Correspondent for BanglaNews24.com and has contributed to Amar Desh and Jaijaidin newspapers. He also served as the editor of Malaysia-based weekly newspapers Banglar Kotha and Probashi Dinkal. Currently, he is the Editor and Publisher of the monthly magazine Dishari and the Founder of KH Production House, Malaysia. Additionally, he holds the position of Vice President of the Bangladesh Community Press Club.
Prestigious RecognitionsIn recognition of his contributions, Kaiser Hamid Hannan received several prestigious awards, including the Red Live-Jash Asian Award 2022 from former Malaysian Foreign Minister Tan Sri-Datuk Seri Dr. Syed Hamid Albar. He was also honored with the First Achievers Award in Malaysia and received the Real Hero Award from Bangladesh’s superstar, Shakib Khan.
Hailing from Gogra village, Hajiganj Upazila, Chandpur district, Kaiser Hamid Hannan is the second among two siblings.
