A Grand Bangladesh Branding Festival Held in Malaysia

The Bangladesh Branding Festival Malaysia (BBFM) 2025 was held in Malaysia. This day-long festival on Saturday, September 27th, at the Craft Complex in the capital city, Kuala Lumpur, turned into a grand gathering for the expatriate Bangladeshi community, diplomats, and business leaders. It was a vibrant celebration where culture, creativity, and confidence blended to create a colorful tapestry of pride.
The festival commenced at 10 AM with a children's drawing competition. The Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia provided the winners with money for purchasing books. The children's drawings reflected their dream Bangladesh. A major attraction of the day was the innovative idea pitching competition for university students. The first place was secured by "Green Bricks: Sustainable Building Material" project (Rashni Ummaya Sara), second place went to "AI in Agriculture" (Samin Sarawat, Huzayfa Sawman, Tanvir Ahmad), and third place was achieved by "Jantrik Building" (Sumaiya Akter). The students' proposals highlighted the potential for sustainable technology, agricultural innovation, and smart business.
An exclusive networking session for entrepreneurs throughout the day opened new horizons for business relations between the two countries. Simultaneously, the stage came alive with music, dance, recitations, and a fashion show by expatriate artists. Her Royal Highness the Princess of Johor, Tunku Hajah Maryam Zahara, was present as the Special Guest. The afternoon saw the inauguration of the book "Bangladesh: Land of Stories," accompanied by the national anthems of both countries, making it a symbol of the friendship between the two nations.
The Princess of Johor said, "This festival is not just an event; rather, it is a unique celebration of the friendship and partnership between Malaysia and Bangladesh. Especially, the Bangladeshi workers contributing in Malaysia are the unsung heroes of modern Malaysia."
Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee, Counsellor of the Bangladesh High Commission, stated that this festival would further strengthen the business partnership between the two countries.
